It’s eight o’clock and I’m in front of the TV with a dosa dinner to catch the first of the BBC Young Dancer category finals – South Asian. 

Sanjeevini Dutta in the first of a regular column, sums up the highlights of her week in dance

Seeta Patel with NYDC and Kadam Dance place contemporary and classical South Asian dance  on an equal footing in the Dance Dialogues project running currently at Hymers College in Hull. 

It has been a bumper year for the South Asian dance community. We congratulate those recognised in the Honours bestowed by the Queen; and reflect on the achievements of a number of others.
