KhyalFEST

Born in New Delhi and now based in Newcastle, Vijay Rajput has been learning music since his childhood. He acquired his initial training and guidance from MG Deshpande, Vinay Chander Mudgal and Madhup Mudgal. Subsequently, he had a rare opportunity to learn under the tutelage of the eminent Bhimsen Joshi. Presented in association with SAMA Arts Network.

Bollywood Jazz

Supriya Nagarajan (Carnatic vocalist and Artistic Director of Manasamitra) has worked with different line-ups to create the current Bollywood Jazz incarnation: James Cave (piano and cello), Matt Redman (bass guitar and multi-instrumentalist) and Beau Stocker (drums).

The foursome have been collaborating over several months, re- imagining songs and giving space to improvisation and departures to forge an adventurous new sound.
